Canarii is a woman-owned social impact firm dedicated to supporting nonprofits, funding institutions, and philanthropists in creating radical change in underserved communities.
Founded in 2018, Canarii believes that a strong social impact sector cultivates a ripple effect that creates resilient communities, regions, nations, and planet. That’s why Canarii supports the two sides of the social impact sector—non-profit “doers” of impact and the funding community that enables incredible work. Both have equal value, and we support them by conducting research, assessing impact, designing high-impact programs and strategies, and supporting important moments of change.
Approach
A tailored practice
Canarii sees each project as an opportunity to uniquely drive social impact. We want our clients to have an exceptional experience where they feel seen, are fulfilled, and are better for our shared process. We don’t do cookie-cutter.
Practical equity
Self-determination is a basic human right, not a privilege of circumstance. The fight for equity is why Canarii exists, and why equity is an embedded practice. It shows up in everything we do, and we help our clients embed this into their work in practical and tangible ways.
Wellbeing
We are grounded in a practice of compassion, respect, and healthy boundaries. The Canarii approach incorporates yoga, mindfulness, and other practices that help our clients stay present to produce their best work and to find joy in this work.

Canarii is a representation of the intersectional narrative within founder, Liz Alsina. The Canarii tribe of North Africa were the native tribe of the present-day Canary Islands. Liz’s maternal ancestors immigrated from the Canary Islands to Venezuela. Canarii Solutions is both a nod to our founder’s ancestors, and embraces the complexity of our individual narratives as a means to channel them to build understanding.
